Goals For the New Year
Hey everyone, LilyandJasper here! Happy New Year's Eve! It's the end day of the year, so I figured I'd look back at my old to-do list/goals I wrote last year for 2023, and I'm at least happy that I hit one of the goals I had, which was finding myself an internship. Which is great, because I need the experience! The downside? I have to go aboard for it, and I will still be dealing with university on top of that, so I don't think I will be as active as I was before. But honestly, I think I should give myself that break. October was the month I posted the most, and because of me getting VERY LITTLE sleep trying to finish each prompt on time, and dealing with university and work on top of all that is exactly why I got so sick all throughout November. I was so hard-pressed to tackle more than I can handle, and I paid the price for it. I hope not to burn myself out like that again.
The main goal I have for this year is making a full animatic. For the longest time, I couldn't decide on what I wanted to do once I do get my degree and get into the animation industry. But now I do, and I hope to become a storyboard artist. What do I want to storyboard exactly? Probably the first chapter I wrote for Nirvana's Army. But before anything I need to finish writing the second draft, as I felt like some things in the chapter needed to be reworked a bit, since I've introduced more ideas to the story compared to two years ago. I should try and make environmental concept drawings at least, like Xavier's home, and other objects akin to the Seraphim Stones I introduced a while ago. I really want to try something to bring this project of mine to life visually, even if it's just an animatic. I most certainly won't have voice actors/people to dub the dialogue, but I guess music and sound effects should suffice.
Anyways, that's all off the top of my head. I want to spend time with my family for tonight, but I wish you all a Happy 2024!
Im Still Alive, so Heres Another Update
Greetings, everyone! I awaken from my metaphorical grave and from the cold and unforgiving clutches of responsibility and adulthood, because I am finally on break from my university, and today happens to be my birthday! I am now a quarter of a century old!
I’m deeply sorry for leaving you guys hanging for over 5 months. As some of you may know, I stated a while back that I was one drawing/post away from 500 deviations. And I was working on an animation with my OCs, Oliver and Xavier. That however, may not come to pass. Don’t worry, I’m still working on it, I just have a hard time coloring it as opposed to the previous animation I did a long time ago. I guess that’s because I have two characters to color instead of one, and I still haven’t gotten a background for it either fml. So instead, I’ll do a drawing with my original character, and then I’ll spam all of the drawings I did on Amino and Instagram I got over the past months.
Welp, that’s all for now. Right now, I’m on my own little vacation after 4 months of suffering, both physically and mentally. I’ll probably be posting on Thursday at the earliest, but that all depends on how I’m feeling at the time. Bye!

Ladies, gentlemen, and enbies, it's that time! 2-3 years ago, I stated that if I ever reach 1,000 watchers, I'll do the sketch requests once again, and as usual, we're increasing the number to 25 instead of 20!

To Do List/Goals for the New Year
Hello, everyone! I think it's been a while I last wrote a journal entry. First off, while I don't celebrate Christmas, I wish you all a Happy Holidays, and I hope for a great new year coming around the corner.
I'm writing this entry because there really is a lot of things I want to do, or I've already started and need to continue to do at once. The problem with that is that I have the time management skills of an expired potato. I have taken a psychology class some time ago, and multi-switching between tasks, taking 20 minutes at a time for each could help.
Anyways, here's a long list of projects and such I want to get done throughout 2023 and onwards.
Find an Internship for Animation
This is actually a goal a wise elder guest I was serving at my job brought to my attention a couple of weeks ago. Even though I will have my Bachelors degree in Computer Animation in a year or so from now, I doubt any job will hire me if I don't have any real experience with animation. I also hope it's a paid internship, so I can find a new job.
Get Sonic Aldrenon Done Already!
This was a series I always wanted to do for a LOOOONG time now. And there are unfortunately MANY reasons why it hasn't happened yet.
I never trusted myself as a writer. I was 11-12 when I came up with the idea of this series, and I remember I actually did write the whole series from start to finish, but it was TRASH! I didn't know how story structure worked back then at all, I added way too characters/things into the story without thinking about how any of this would work narratively. Even now as I was trying to read the story from the ground up, I'm still debating on which canon characters should involve in the series, what their stories will be, and how it might tie to the narrative of certain story arcs. The characters I specifically debated on including were the Freedom Fighters from the Archie Comics, being Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, Rotor, and Nicole.
I never truly knew what to do with it. I could never decide either I wanted to make the series a comic, a written story, a sprite animated series like Super Mario Bros Z or Sonic GX before me, or an actual animated series. As it stands right now, I think I'd rather make it a written story and just draw anything that has to do with the story when it comes up.
I worry about being pigeonholed. This is something I still struggle with to today's date. As much as I do love the Sonic series, it's NOT the only thing I like to draw. I'm such more than just a Sonic artist. I really want to get this series and over with because I would hate that something I created would die if I don't make something out of it. With that being said, I also would hate to make Sonic Aldrenon, just for my other projects that I work just as hard on, if not harder on to go unnoticed/under-appreciated. Especially if it only brings Sonic fans to my page and then I'll feel like that's all I have to draw and I don't want that in the slightest! And that is something I worry when it comes to Nirvana's Army over Sonic Aldrenon, because one series is attached to a popular pre-existing franchise, while the other is built entirely from scratch. Speaking of which;
Push Nirvana's Army as Much as I Can
I have a clearer vision on what I want for Nirvana's Army over the years. I've been endlessly writing all kind of world building and plot outlines for it, but it's FAR from anything I want to be yet. I originally wanted to make it a comic out of it because of a contest I failed at participating it, but no, I want to make this an actual animated series. Even if it's something I have to make on my own animation-wise, I want to make something that is mine and no one else's! I already drafted 3 whole episodes/chapters on the first story arc so far, and while I won't share them with you guys, I will drip-feed as much character designs, environments, and lore-related content for you guys. I really want this series to be something amazing and something to be proud of!
Catch Up with Nanbaka/Run my Tumblr Blog
Long ago, in the far away year of 2019, I opened a blog called "Nanbaka Confessions" on Tumblr. My reason for it was because I noticed that the Nanbaka fandom, a series I was really into around 2018-2020, didn't have a confession blog like most other fandoms I've been into, so I took upon myself to create one for the fandom, and trust me when I say, it was so much FUN to run! I loved reading other people's thoughts and opinions on Nanbaka, and even sharing my thoughts on there, occasionally. I mostly ran the blog on the weekends, but I was glad people were enjoying themselves there! 
But as time passed, the blog got neglected by me. Why? Eventually around 2020, the chapters of the manga that were being translated into English stopped being made, because the fandom was advised to support the original release of the manga on Comico instead of pirating it. This was bad for me because at the time, I was broke and couldn't afford to buy and read new chapters of Nanbaka. As a result, I fell behind on the reading, and couldn't even get the pictures I need for specific confessions on my blog, and eventually, I fell out of Nanbaka as a whole, which is a shame. Luckily, I found the password to my Comico account, so I'll do what I can to catch up and continue running Nanbaka confessions. Despite being inactive for over 2 whole years, people still checked in on the blog almost every day, so that should be motivation to continue!

Yeah, I don't have an official name of this comic yet. Long story short, I made a One Piece fan character on Amino, and people requested her to interact with none other than Portgas D. Ace. Basically the comic takes place 4 years prior to the current timeline in One Piece. The fan character, Iris, is a bounty hunter and tries to claim Ace's bounty, and he's not taking that lying down, so they fight! Because comic pages are something I want to add to the updated commission sheet when I make it, I'm continuing the comic as practice. I have already finish scripting the first part of this story, so I can't wait to see it would look when it's finished.

I'm most likely only wanna accept 3-5 commissions at a time, but because a lot of people have been asking me when commissions will be open again, I need to make an updated version of a commission sheet, with a little more variation on the prices.
And I think that's everything I hope to do in 2023 and further on! 
I want to stay committed to all my projects and such!
Not dead, guys!
Hello, everyone! How are you guys doing? So I know it's been forever since you last spoke a word here, and I'm sorry for that. For the last couple of months, I've been out of the country, but still dealing with online university classes, so I didn't have time for drawing anything. And even if I did, I owe a couple of commissions to people, so I need to get those of the way first. Luckily, I'm on my summer break (which is only for a week), so I'll try to draw something/post something before the end of the break. 
It's also my birthday today, and I'm 24 now... God, I feel old! 
What I want to do after I'm free? I really wish I could role-play again, but I think it's better I use that energy to continue my personal projects. But in between all of that, I think I'll just do some character sketches to fill the time. I really hope I can keep my word of this! Anyways, I thank you guys for your time!
